Work on the River Lark bank, Jubilee Fields at Mildenhall

River Lark Catchment Partnership volunteers

The sun shone while the River Lark Catchment Partnership volunteers carried out their work on Saturday 3rd November:

Approximately 52 metres of bank are being repaired following the sessions earlier this year. A number of sessions will be needed to repair each damaged section.

All repairs are carried out to conditions of the Environment Agency permits granted to the RLCP and with the ongoing active involvement of the EA Catchment Co-ordinator and RLCP members

This first session was within a volunteers training initiative with assistance from Rob Mungovan from the Wild Trout Trust, who led the work, supported by the Environment Agency.

Mildenhall Parish Council contributed £ 1975 to the project, with the biggest cost being the materials at £ 1550
