Following some damage to a water main in the area, as a precaution we are advising customers in Red Lodge, Kentford, Tuddenham, Icklingham and surrounding areas to boil their tap water and leave it to cool before using it for drinking, cooking, preparing food and brushing teeth. We advise customers to do so until further notice as we need to repair the damaged pipe and carry out further water quality tests.

Customers can still use it as normal, without boiling, for bathing, general household purposes like using the washing machine and flushing the toilet.

We will be providing support to customers on our Priority Service Register. Customers who need extra help can join the register by calling us on 03457 145 145.

We will put a card through the door of every household affected and use local Facebook groups to share information.

It is likely to take a few days to carry out the repair and ensure that the water is back up to our usual high standard and we may need to turn the water off while we fix the broken main.
